Jack Long

Jack Long, a first year student of San Francisco State University, go through one week of his first winter break at college. He has experienced many new things since it is the first winter break he lives at another country outside China.
First day of this week, which is December 22th, was a traditional “Jie Qi” of China. It also can said as a festival. It called “Dong Zhi”. In China, basically it is the coldest time of the year. That day, I had finished my last final exam of 2018 fall semester. Math really makes me thinking a lot. At evening, I was invited by friend to the apartment. I ate won ton with her and my roommate. Eating won ton is a custom of Dong Zhi. Another one custom is cooking hot pot. She also talked about a custom to eat won ton before someone left to a place, like she will go to China next morning. But when our friends come back, we should eat noodles.
At the Christmas, December 25th, I went to my families’ apartment. I had dinner with them and their two friends. I had eaten many great foods, like pasta, ham, sweet potato, mushroom… Unluckily, I forgot to take photo. After dinner, we went to the top floor. We watched night view of City Hall. The Christmas color was really cool. The apartment has a balcony and a meeting room. We played Jenga and Awkward story teller at meeting room.
One day after the Christmas, I went to Muir Woods with families. We drove across the Golden Gate Bridge and went on California 1 highway. We felt the air is so fresh after we went off the bus. I was really impressed by the redwoods. They are so high and straight, like it is going to touch sky. And they are dense as a forest. Some trees look like cannot hug by three people. It is a great travel place for everyone.
After that, I have stayed in dorm, and went to some grocery stores, Stonestown, Nordstrom… I also exercise at stadium because the gym has closed. I try to studied, but no so much work had finished.
At the after days, I wish to do these following things.
At first, I should go to band to resolve the card issue, and I can book my airline to San Diego, and help my friend at another city to buy on ebay.
I should keep do some exercise everyday, either sunny or raining. I need pay the tuition and talk to housing office(meal plan), after January 1st.
I will do some study: 1.reading a novel and write a critique(extra credit). 2. An essay once a week. 3. Math preview and review. Maybe it will change…
I could form a habit of sleep regular, because I may not be healthy and stay focus if I sleep late.
I think that’s all until 12/30/2018.
